Class Gifting Charter:

Purpose:  The Council of Class President’s (COCP) Class Gifting Committee’s purpose is to help ensure the success of its members’ Class Gift Projects.

The Council of Class President’s Class Gifting Committee is chartered to:

    1. Work with members of the COCP, Alumni Association, the USNA Foundation and the USNA to ensure reasonable and effective procedures are in place and available to Class Presidents and Class Fundraising Chairmen to successfully develop, design and complete class projects, manage the project throughout its lifetime, conduct fundraising for class projects, and ensure that information about the class projects is available to support continued interest and success.
    2. Work with members of the COCP, Alumni Association, the USNA Foundation and the USNA to ensure reasonable and effective procedures are in place and available to Class Presidents and Class Fundraising Chairmen to support the Annual and other
      Fundraising initiatives of the USNA Foundation
    3. Be a resource for members of the Council of Class Presidents who are planning or working a class project.
    4. Keep the Council of Class Presidents apprised of the result of the committee’s work and provide recommendations to the COCP for consideration by the Board of Trustees of the Alumni Association, the Board of Trustees of the USNA Foundation and the Superintendent of the Naval Academy.
