1. (Q) Can I purchase game tickets without a travel package?

(A) Yes, however, there is no guarantee without securing tickets via a travel package. Individual game tickets will go on sale in January 2020. When Notre Dame and Navy played in Ireland in 2012, a limited number of game tickets were put on sale in the U.S. and sold out within one hour. Please note, hotels and airlines will feel the pressure of many Navy and Notre Dame fans traveling to Dublin at approximately the same time. More information will be provided from the Athletic Association following the 2019 Navy Notre Dame game.

2. (Q) I want to explore Ireland/UK etc., on my own but don't want to miss out on Navy activities or don't want to do the itineraries being offered, what should I do?

(A) Consider purchasing the 3-day Dublin package offered. This package surrounds the days of the game so that you'll be in the heart of the game festivities. It also guarantees your hotel room and game ticket while providing you with free time before and/or after the game to explore on your own. If you want a full itinerary, you can contact Anthony Travel and create a custom package.

3. (Q) When will flights be made available?

(A) Commercial flights generally do not become available to the public until approximately 11 months prior to departure. Anthony Travel has partnered with Aer Lingus, Ireland's national airline, and potentially other carriers, to provide exclusive flight options from key cities prior to them going on sale to the public. Again, there will of course be quite a strain on flights and hotels with 35,000 fans traveling at approximately the same time.

4. (Q) Will midshipmen attend the game?

(A)  The Brigade has been briefed on the game in Dublin. USNA sent out a survey seeking interest only at this point. Midshipmen will pay a portion of the actual cost. There will be a limit on number of midshipmen going, and that number has not been determined as of yet. After USNA gathers the interest list and has confirmation on costs, sign ups will begin. A deposit will be made at this time and a payment plan arranged. Once the midshipman makes the deposit, they are committed to going. Please reach out to your midshipmen for any other questions regarding their travel and involvement.

5. (Q) What events are planned before the game?

(A) Our team is working with the Dublin-based team on several events, including an exclusive event for those who purchase a travel package as well as a pre-game tailgate. Once details are confirmed, information and registration will be added to this document as well as to the event page on this site (www.usna.com/Ireland).  We hope to see you there!
