Carroll Lillian Wells Bowser (April 10, 1933 -September 30, 2018)
Born in Baltimore, Maryland-eldest daughter of Harry and Madeleine Brill Wells. Attended Notre Dame Prep and Notre Dame College in Baltimore, then joined United Airlines as a flight attendant to see the world. A dashing USNA graduate, James Robert Bowser, Jr '52, whom she had met in 1949, followed her to California after six years of courting, to make known his intentions. They married in Annapolis January 15, 1955 and began their life together: a military career, family and extensive travel. They returned to Annapolis in 1966, where they have since, lived an enriched life. Carroll is survived by her husband of 63 years, Colonel James Robert Bowser, Jr USMC, their children; Cris, Julie and James and their families (8 grandchildren and soon-to-be 6 great grandchildren). A USNA Columbarium service will take place Friday October 12, 2018, 10 am. Enter Gate 8 with photo ID. Bermuda Colors are encouraged!
