Chapel Pew Guidelines

The recognition plaques will conform to a standard size (to be determined by the Naval Academy), will be placed in a uniform location on the end of the pew, will be fabricated from the same material (bronze) and will utilize a uniform type font. The wording on each plaque will also be standardized and limited to a predetermined maximum number of lines (4) containing a predetermined maximum number of characters (24, including spaces). Pew recognition plaques that are given in memory of deceased individuals will begin: "In memory of. .. ": Pew recognition plaques given in honor of living individuals will begin: "In honor of...".

The following format will be used:

Line One: In Memory of (or In Honor of)
Line Two: Name
Line Three: Rank, Services, USNA Class, etc.
Line Four: By (name of donor)
