Vice Chair of Naval Operations Visits Jacksonville, FL

Vice Chief of Naval Operations Admiral Bill Moran ’81, USN, was very busy during the recent Navy-Notre Dame game activities in Jacksonville, FL, connecting with Navy family throughout the area. He first visited the Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay in Georgia on 4 November to conduct an All Hands Call (AHC) aboard MARYLAND.

Next, he served as guest speaker at Kings Bay’s World War II Submarine Veterans Ceremony, which drew 15 sailors from as far away as California.

Saturday morning before the game, he conducted another AHC at Navy Operational Support Center Jacksonville.

ADM Moran then joined more than 3,000 Navy fans at a pre-game tailgate, where he participated in a live interview with Naval Academy Alumni Association and Foundation President and CEO Byron Marchant ’78 on WNAV Radio, which broadcasts Navy football games locally in Annapolis and online around the world.
