Andrew J. Kirkpatrick ’86, is an executive officer and senior vice president of Global Operations and R&D at Accuray, Inc., a public medical device company. Providing leadership for global manufacturing, supply chain and logistics, Kirkpatrick also oversees Accuray’s research and product development. Prior to joining Accuray in 2007, Kirkpatrick held multiple leadership positions in two other pioneering technology companies in Silicon Valley, gaining expertise in product marketing, manufacturing operations, business development and mergers and acquisitions. Kirkpatrick began his professional career as a nuclear engineer and submarine officer. In addition to a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering, Kirkpatrick earned an MBA from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley. 
Kirkpatrick is devoted to and passionate about the Naval Academy—the institution that nurtured the moral, mental and physical skills he needed to be successful in life. For the past 10 years, Kirkpatrick has been an active trustee of the Naval Academy Foundation’s Athletics & Scholarship Programs division. He has donated both time and money to support valuable prep school and athletic support programs and serves on two committees. He also leads Friends of Navy Tennis, whose mission is to provide an enduring connection to the program for tennis alumni as well as margin of excellence financial support. 
Kirkpatrick has held numerous corporate and non-profit board of director roles including six years at the board of directors of the Ronald McDonald House at Stanford, the world’s largest, where he also chaired the strategic planning committee.
A recent resident of Annapolis, MD, Kirkpatrick is the proud son of Don Kirkpatrick ’48, and he and his wife Judy are the proud parents of Midshipman Cameron Kirkpatrick ’19. Deeply committed to his family, professional career and the community.
