Minh-Tu Greenberg ’99

Minh-Tu and her family arrived in the United States in 1975 as Vietnamese refugees fleeing Communist Vietnam. Prior to receiving her appointment to the United States Naval Academy, Minh-Tu spent a year at George Mason University in Virginia. Realizing how much she wanted to serve her country and carry on her family’s legacy of public and military service (both in United States and in Vietnam), she enlisted in the Navy, attending boot camp in Florida. At the completion of boot camp, Minh-Tu applied to USNA and spent a year at NAPS in Newport, RI, before becoming a member of the Class of 1999. Minh-Tu received her commission in the United States Marine Corps but received a medical discharge out of TBS.
Minh-Tu received her JD from the Catholic University of America - Columbus School of Law with a focus on Corporate and Securities Law. After a short stint in the private sector, Minh-Tu returned to public service, working for The Office of the Special Investigator General for the Troubled Asset Relief Program (SIGTARP) with the Department of Treasury. Since 2014, Minh-Tu has held the position of Investigative Attorney with the Federal Housing Finance Agency’s Office of Inspector General in Washington, DC.
Minh-Tu is a lifetime member of the Naval Academy Alumni Association, an active member of the United States Naval Academy Alumni Association’s Greater Washington Chapter, and was elected Class President in 2014.
Minh-Tu lives in Rockville, Maryland, with her husband, Joshua, and son, Leo (2015).
