The Naval Academy conducts three “signature” conferences annually:

  • Naval Academy Science & Engineering Conference (NASEC)
  • Naval Academy Foreign Affairs Conference (NAFAC)
  • Naval Academy Leadership Conference

Each is designed to bring together midshipmen, civilian students and subject matter experts to discuss current topics, trends and challenges in foreign affairs, science and engineering, and leadership. Private gift support enhances each conference by providing the necessary funding for keynote speakers, conference supplies and materials, and well as meals and travel related expenses. In each case, the conferences give delegates the opportunity to engage in lively discussions and hear presentations from renowned experts.  For those delegates from other schools, NASEC, NAFAC, and the Leadership Conference also provide an opportunity to learn more about the Naval Academy and the U. S. Naval Service.

Naval Academy Science & Engineering Conference (NASEC)

NASEC brings key policy makers and science advisors together annually with midshipmen, cadets, and civilian university students and instructors to explore emerging 21st century science and engineering issues and challenges.

Naval Academy Foreign Affairs Conference (NAFAC)

Since 1961, NAFAC has provided a unique opportunity to bring together the nation’s future Navy and Marine Corps officers with their peers from other national and international colleges and universities, both civilian and military, to discuss contemporary issues in international affairs.

Naval Academy Leadership Conference

This annual conference gathers more than 250 midshipmen, cadets, and civilian students from universities across the nation to collaborate on leadership best practices and interact with distinguished speakers and panelists.
