Earnestine V. Hindman "Penny" (January 29, 1924 – July 13, 2018)
Penny Hindman, 94, formerly of Severna Park, MD, departed this life on July 13, 2018 to be with her beloved Stan who pre-deceased her in 2015. She was born in True, West Virginia as the 2nd child in a family of 8. After she was born her family moved to Maryland and she really embraced being a Maryland girl. She went to work in Annapolis where she met Lt. Cdr. Stan Hindman at Carvel Hall (Paca House). They married and spent the next 68 years together. She enjoyed being a wife, mother, grandmother and a Navy wife despite the challenges. She enjoyed her job as a realtor in Severna Park, making many new friends. Family was of the utmost importance and she kept everyone in touch. She never gave up on anyone and always saw the positive. She is remembered for her wonderful hospitality and was always cooking and baking which she generously shared with family, friends and neighbors. She will be sorely missed. She is survived by sons Kirk and Greg Hindman and daughter Michele Kountz; grandchildren Nate Hindman, Becky Kountz and Melissa Johnson, Sean Hindman and Jennifer Popkin; and great grandchildren Abigail and Emma Johnson and Jordan Frend. A celebration of life will be held at St. Andrew's Chapel at the Naval Academy on August 24, 2018 at 10:30AM followed by interment at the Columbarium.
