NATHAN M. HUGHES, LT USN, passed through the veil 28 July 2018. Nate believed in living life to the fullest. He loved God, family and friends, serving others and the wilderness. Nate knew the value of time and made his moments on earth matter. Nate was an Eagle Scout, served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the Viña Del Mar Chile mission, and graduated from the US Naval Academy. His greatest joy was in living a simple life filled with good people. Nate’s advice would be to get out there and live - camp in the woods, swim in an icy river, try something you’re afraid of, give because it’s the right thing to do and have an opinion because you took the time to know what you’re talking about.
