Theodore Allen Hermeling, Jr. "Ted" (Age 68)
A gentle giant died peacefully August 7, 2018. A 1971 Naval Academy graduate, Ted served 20 years as a Submarine Warfare Officer. Most recently, he worked for ARES Technologies managing the NASA Safety and Mission Assurance Contract. Ted loved his family, friends, the St. Louis Cardinals and Navy Football. He volunteered his time in youth sports both as a baseball coach and on the National Capital Soccer League Executive Committee.
Ted is survived by his loving wife, Kay, whom he adored; sons, Theodore "Allen" Hermeling III (Megan) of Wilmette, IL and Christopher Hermeling (Courtney) of Wexford, PA; three brothers, John, Paul, and Dale Hermeling; and was the cherished "Bompa" of five grandchildren, Madelyn and Theodore Allen Hermeling IV and Reagan, Max, and Denis Hermeling.
