Carlene Scott Wagner, age 88, of Rawlings, Va., passed away June 16, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Richard Wagner, Captain, USN (retired). She is survived by her children, Sandra Wagner, Susan Carrington (Michael) and Walter Scott Wagner (Barbara); her grandchildren, Elizabeth Theis (Thomas), Stephen Carrington and Mary Carrington; her great-grandchildren, Richard and Catherine Theis; and numerous nieces and nephews. Carlene was a devoted Navy wife for 60 years and was known for her fantastic desserts. She was a registered nurse and formerly worked at Wiley Christian Retirement Community in Marlton, New Jersey and Lake Country Area Agency on Aging in South Hill, Va. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, June 30, 2018, at Concord Presbyterian Church, Rawlings, Va. The family will receive friends Saturday, from 10 to 11 a.m., prior to the service, at the church. Interment will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Concord Presbyterian Church, c/o Della Tucker, 5119 Rawlings Rd., Rawlings, Va. 23876 or the U.S. Naval Academy. Williams Funeral Home, Lawrenceville, will be handling the arrangements.
