Obituary (MA): David Livingston Lowry '60

David Livingston Lowry, 81, of Williamstown and Lenox passed away recently. Born in Aurora, Illinois, he was the son of the late Ruth Ann Livingston and Floyd Pease Lowry. David grew up on Clover Hill Farm and graduated from Williamstown High School in 1954. He attended Williams College and graduated from the United States Naval Academy in 1960. After service as a commissioned officer, he taught mathematics at Drury High School, Lenox School for Boys, Lenox Memorial High School, Lasell College, Mount Ida College, and Boston University.

He is survived by his sister, Anne, and brother-in-law, Robert Grande; Ann Bendigo Lowry; his daughter, Kathryn Louise, and son-in-law, Christopher Boit; his son, Thomas Livingston Lowry, and daughter-in-law, Amy; grandchildren, Father Panagiotis and Presbytera Nichole Boznos, Lydia Bryant, True Bryant, Tabitha Lowry, Spencer Lowry; great grandchildren, Symeon William Boznos and Zacchaios True Boznos; his cousin, Verne Rosenberg; a life long family friend, Elizabeth Ostrander; along with many nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, and close friends.

His ashes will be interred in the family plot next to his brothers, Thomas George, and Floyd Pease Lowry, in Eastlawn Cemetery in Williamstown, at Clover Hill Farm, and in County Cavan, Ireland, where his great-grandfather, David Gordon Lowry grew up before emigrating to America, in 1868.
