Joseph William “Bill” Sherar passed away on Monday, May 21, 2018. He was born on September 27, 1930 in Fresno, California, United States. Son of Joseph William Garland and Verna Irene (Kneeland) Sherar.
Bill Sherar was an insurance broker, investor, research director avid sailor, pilot, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Verna Sherar and his sister Laurel Williams.
A time of visitation will be held from 10:00 until noon, Saturday, May 26, 2018 at St. Peter Catholic Church; 125 E. 19th Ave, Covington, LA 70433 followed by a Funeral Mass at noon.
Burial will follow in the Saint Joseph Abbey Cemetery; 75376 River Rd., Saint Benedict, LA 70457.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations in memory of Mr. Sherar to be made to St. Joseph Abbey.
