George P. O’Garro ’05

Board-Selected Trustee

George is a private wealth advisor at Goldman Sachs, responsible for delivering the firm’s wealth management capabilities. His team advises ultra-high net worth individuals, families and institutions on customized investment management, trust and estate planning, and credit and banking services. 

Previously, George was a Banker in the J.P. Morgan Private Bank Financial Sponsors Group focused on executives in the private equity, hedge fund, real estate and financial services industries. Prior to J.P. Morgan, he was a Surface Warfare Officer and Engineer in the United States Navy deploying in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, Somali Anti-piracy, and Eastern Pacific Counter-Illicit Trafficking operations.  

George received a BS from the U.S. Naval Academy and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He serves in various board and committee roles to non-profit institutions Montefiore Einstein Health System, Common Cause, Naval Academy Alumni Association and Foundation, and the Naval Academy Association of New York.
