Timothy S. Kobosko '80
'80's Classes Trustee

Tim graduated from the Naval Academy in 1980, having spent a prep year at NAPS in Newport, RI before entering USNA. He was on active duty for 6 years before transferring to the Reserves. He retired in 2001 as a Commander, USNR.

Tim is a lifetime member of the Alumni Association, member of the President’s Circle since 2003, and a trustee of the Athletic and Scholarship Program (A&SP). Tim has been the Class President and Class Fund Raiser since 1990.

He was the Vice President of Information Services at the Alumni Association and Foundation from 1998- 2009. He joined the USO has their first ever Chief Information Officer (CIO) in 2009. In 2011, Tim joined Hartman Executive Advisors. Hartman is an independent strategic business-technology advisory group, focused on helping mid-market corporations and organizations achieve positive outcomes from their IT investments. He leads their Non-Profit practice in the Baltimore-Washington-Annapolis area.

Tim received Master Degrees from The Johns Hopkins University (M.A.S., 1988) and Loyola University (M.B.A., 1995). He is also a graduate of Leadership Anne Arundel in 1996.

Tim lives in Severna Park, Maryland with his wife Carolyn and two children, Kate (1997) and Kevin (1999). He is actively involved in the Greater Severna Park Athletic Association as a coach and volunteer.
