December 2024 - VOL. 17: The Athletic and Scholarships Program (A&SP) is a division of the United States Naval Academy Foundation that encourages and supports the Physical Mission of the Naval Academy. A&SP provides leadership, need-based funding, guidance and mentoring to all Foundation Preparatory students; as well as needed private funding to all the USNA varsity, club, and intramural sports teams through The Fund for Athletic Excellence.

MEMORIAL AFFAIRS AND THE NAVAL ACADEMY COLUMBARIUM

October 2024 - VOL. 15: The U.S. Naval Academy Cemetery and Columbarium, located on 6.7 acres at Hospital Point, is the final resting place of more  than 6,000 souls. Founded in 1868, the cemetery overlooks the Severn River and College Creek. In 1987, the Naval Academy
constructed a columbarium adjacent to the cemetery, supported by the Class of 1959 and the George and Carol Olmsted Foundation.

FLUEGEL ALUMNI CENTER THEN AND NOW

September 2023 - VOL. 2:  THEN-the site of the Fluegel Alumni Center (FAC) once housed the Superintendent’s gardens, a greenhouse, the
greenhouse keeper’s quarters, a railway, and the Naval Academy mail facility. NOW-A single, dedicated space for serving alumni will also produce clearer lines of communication between the Yard and alumni groups supporting midshipmen.
