The International Chapter Officer Forum (ICOF)

The International Chapter Officer Forum (ICOF), formerly known as the Chapter Presidents' Meeting, is held annually. It is always held the day before the Alumni Association Board of Trustees meeting, so the chapter presidents can attend the next day. Every year there are approximately 75 or more chapter presidents or their representatives that attend the meeting in Alumni Hall. 

The ICOF meeting is the prime time for the chapter officers to get together in one location to discuss chapter best practices and get updated on Naval Academy activities, information that they can then take back to their chapters. Over the years, many Naval Academy speakers have presented at the event, including the Superintendent, Commandant, Dean of Admissions, Academic Dean, Athletic Director, selected varsity coaches and the Deputy Commandant, just to name a few.

Wednesday, 09 May - Welcome Reception

Please join us at Ogle Hall on Wednesday evening from 1700-1900 for the ICOF Welcome Reception.   

Thursday, 10 May - ICOF

Friday, 11 May - Spring Board of Trustees Meeting

If you plan to attend the 2018 Spring Board of Trustees (BOT) Meeting which begins at 0800 on 11 May 2018 and/or the luncheon please email Cathy Wagner with which events you will be attending. The Meeting and Luncheon for BOT will be held in the VADM William P. Lawrence "N" Room at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium.  If attending the BOT Meeting please enter the stadium from Taylor Avenue at Gate 5.  Inform the parking attendant that you are attending the USNA Alumni Association Board of Trustees Meeting.

Vehicle Access

The hotel is within walking distance to the Academy but if you still require access to the Yard and would like a Temporary Vehicle Pass (TVP), please email your request to Cynthia Belt.  For processing, indicate date(s) needed and your mobile number and email address.  48-hour notice is required. The Department of Defense (DoD) eliminated the requirement for DoD-issued decals for base access. No TVP is required if you are in possession of a valid DoD ID card.  

Hotel Information

We have booked a block of rooms at the Historic Inns of Annapolis. You can make reservations by phone or online.  If you would like to call to make your reservation, please identify yourself as part of the USNA Alumni Association International Chapter Officer Forum (ICOF).  The phone number is 410-263-2641.

If you prefer to book online please click here and you will be directed to the appropriate on-line registration page for the Historic Inns.  Please enter the arrival date as Wednesday, 09 May 2018 and the Group Code (under Special Codes) as 10002L.  When you make your reservation, it is necessary to guarantee the room with a credit card but the Alumni Association will pay for your room for one night.  You will have to provide a credit card for incidentals when you check-in but your card SHOULD NOT be charged for the room or the tax if you book at the Historic Inns of Annapolis.  Valet parking at the Historic Inns of Annapolis is available for $22 a day, but will not be reimbursed by the Alumni Association.  You also have the option of staying elsewhere during the meeting.  Please remember that Treasury will only reimburse for one night up to the approved rate of $129.00.  Although USNA AA is not able to cover more than one night of lodging, we have negotiated with the Historic Inns to charge the $129.00 rate for one night before 09 May 2018 and up to three nights after 09 May 2018.  These rates will be available while rooms last and the reservations can be made directly at the link above.  The last day to reserve a room is 20 April 2018.

Annapolis Chapter Social

The Annapolis Chapter has once again graciously offered to host a reception Thursday evening after the ICOF Meeting.  The event will be from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at McGarvey's Oyster Bar and Saloon in downtown Annapolis.
