Rhoda Belle Firth
Rhoda Belle (Rhodie) Levis Firth passed away on 2-14-26 surrounded by her family. Rhodie was born in Greeley, CO to Rhoda Belle and George Levis. Rhodie had four siblings who proceeded her in death. Rhodie was raised in Pueblo, CO. She went to Centennial High School where she enjoyed being a cheerleader. After graduating from high school, she attended Pueblo Junior College and The University of Colorado at Boulder where she finished her teaching degree. Upon graduating, she was hired to teach first grade in Coronado, CA. Before leaving Pueblo, she met Forrest Firth, also from that city, who was in the Navy and stationed in Coronado. They were married in 1953 in Pueblo. Together they had four children. Forrest proceeded Rhodie in death in 2009. Rhodie was a loving, devoted wife and mother who was kind and giving. She was a substitute teacher for the Los Gatos School District. She enjoyed children and was a skilled teacher. Rhodie and Forrest loved to travel. They took many trips to Europe. They also traveled in Mexico, Russia, Japan, China and Tibet. In 1991 they spent 6 months in the Czech Republic teaching English in Trutnov, a small Czech town. They enjoyed a wonderful adventure and made many friends. They returned to the Czech Republic several times. Rhodie and Forrest also owned a condo in Kauai, Hawaii. Rhodie loved to spend time walking on the beach, collecting shells, and listening to the waves crash. She also enjoyed gardening, antiquing and she had a massive collection of Santa Clauses. Rhodie is survived by her four children: David Firth (Jennifer); Leslie Pickerng (Rick); Lisa Coca (Tom) and Eric Firth. Her four grandchildren: Ashley Raser (Jason); Cameron Pickering (Andrea); Austin Firth (Stephanie) and Andrew Firth. Her seven great grandchildren Ben, Emmett and Oliver Pickering, Elliott, Hannah and Natalie Raser and Olivia Firth. She will be greatly missed by all.
