Mathew Tomas Rachall  (January 24, 1961 - February 19, 2026)

WEATHERFORD - Mathew "Matt" Tomas Rachall, age 65, passed away peacefully on February 19, 2026, surrounded by the family he loved so dearly. A man of honor, discipline, and boundless spirit, Matt lived every chapter of his life with the same dedication he brought to his country, his community, and his beloved family. His passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of all who knew him - and a legacy rich enough to fill it.

Memorial Service: Thursday, March 19, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at Greenwood's Live Oak Chapel, located at 3100 White Settlement Road, Fort Worth, Texas 76107. Inurnment with Military Honors: Thursday, March 19, 2026, at 2:30 p.m. at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, located at 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Texas 75211.

Born and raised with a deep sense of duty, Matt answered the call to serve his nation by attending the United States Naval Academy, where he forged the character that would define the rest of his life. Matt transitioned to a career in law enforcement, spending years as a police officer in City of Fort Worth.

Above all else, Matt was a family man. He was the devoted and loving husband of Kimberly Rachall, whose unwavering companionship was the greatest blessing of his life. Together they raised a blended family with four wonderful children, who in turn gave Matt the grandchildren he adored with every fiber of his being. His nieces and nephews knew him as the fun uncle who always had time for them.

Matt's passions were as colorful as his personality. He was a celebrated Duncan yo-yo champion - a title he wore with genuine pride and considerable flair, always ready to show the children, nieces, nephews and grandchildren a trick or two. For much of his life you could find him astride his beloved Harley-Davidson motorcycle, affectionately named Matilda, the open road stretching out before him like a promise. Matilda carried him on countless adventures, and Matt loved every mile.

A lifelong baseball fan, Matt never missed an opportunity to catch a game, and his enthusiasm for America's pastime was contagious. Evenings at home often found the whole family gathered around the television watching The Simpsons - a ritual that produced more shared laughter than could ever be counted.

Matt's truest sense of peace came in the great outdoors. A passionate camper, he believed that the best conversations happened around a campfire under a canopy of stars. Those trips - filled with s'mores, stories, and the sounds of nature - are among the most treasured memories his family will carry forward.

Matt is survived by his beloved wife, Kimberly Rachall; four children, Brandi Semrak, Mathew Tomas Rachall, Jr., Lauren Alegre, and Cameron Harris; his cherished grandchildren; his three brothers, Mark Rachall, Rayford Rachall, Jr., and Morgan Rachall; and a devoted circle of nieces and nephews who will miss his laugh, his wisdom, and his willingness to show off a yo-yo trick at a moment's notice.

Matt did not merely live a life - he filled one. He served with courage, laughed with abandon, loved without condition, and left this world a richer place for every person he touched. May he ride eternal, with Matilda beneath him and the open sky ahead.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that those wishing to honor Matt Rachall's memory consider a donation to support his Widow, during this difficult time. Contributions may be sent to Venmo@Lauren-Rachall. Your generosity and kindness mean more than words can express.
