Will Roberts is the 2014 class president of the Naval Academy, where he earned a Bachelor of Science with Merit in Operations Research and lettered as a heavyweight rower.
Following commissioning, he served as a Communications Strategy and Operations (COMMSTRAT) Officer in the Marine Corps. His assignments included Director of Research and Assessment for I Marine Expeditionary Force (I MEF), Director of COMMSTRAT for Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force Native Fury, and Marine Corps Instructor of Water Survival for I MEF. He was also competitively selected for an inter-service transfer to attend BUD/S training after finishing first in his class at SEAL Officer Assessment and Selection.
After transitioning from active duty, Will earned his MBA in finance from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He then joined Allen & Company in New York as an investment banker, advising on multi-billion-dollar mergers and acquisitions across consumer, healthcare, and technology sectors.
Will is currently the principal of Roberts & Company, a real estate merchant bank, and a partner at UMortgage, where he leads national VA mortgage lending efforts to expand homeownership opportunities for veterans and military families.
Born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, he lives in Greenwich, Connecticut with his wife, Peyton, a Navy Nurse, and their two sons. Will remains deeply committed to serving our country, supporting military members and veterans, and advancing the mission of the Naval Academy.
