About us
The United States Naval Academy Alumni Association and the United States Naval Academy Foundation are two independent, not-for-profit corporations sharing a single president and CEO and operating as a fully integrated organization in support of the Naval Academy and its mission. The organization’s focus and core competencies are engagement and philanthropy in pursuit of complementary and closely aligned missions. The course set by Alumni Association founders in 1886 rings true today as the Alumni Association serves and supports the United States, the Naval Service, the Naval Academy and its alumni: › by furthering the highest standards at the Naval Academy; › by seeking out, informing, encouraging and assisting outstanding, qualified young men and women to pursue careers as officers through the Naval Academy; › by initiating and sponsoring activities which perpetuate the history, traditions, memories and growth of the Naval Academy and bind alumni together in support of the highest ideals of command, citizenship and government. The Association keeps its more than 60,000-plus members informed through a network of 100 chapters around the world, about 75 active class organizations, and 82 parent clubs. Our web site, Shipmate magazine, e-mail and WaveTops e-newsletter are our primary communications tools, while value-added benefits, programs and services build affinity to the Naval Academy. The complementary mission of the U.S. Naval Academy Foundation is to support, promote and advance the mission of the Naval Academy by working in conjunction with Academy leadership to identify strategic and institutional priorities and by raising, managing and disbursing private gift funds that provide a margin of excellence in support of the nation’s premier leadership institution.

Welcome to another great episode of the Sing Second podcast. Chris Servello and I bring you the stories and happenings at the Naval Academy and the Naval Academy Alumni Association and Foundation. We've hit mid-April. Your Shipmate Magazines should have arrived by now, and maybe you saw the feature we had on married alumni. We talk to more married alumni this week in our conversation with LTs Rebecca and Collin Magaro. Rebecca played basketball here and graduated in 2016. She's now one of very few E-2 aviators in the Navy. Collin also graduated in 2016 and is an EOD officer. They are both now company officers in Bancroft Hall. They give us their perspective on toughing it out in a dual-military marriage, what Mids today are like and a little insight into the Brigade. Chris and John also chat about Navy winning the Star Series, losing Croquet and some great collaboration with Annapolis Mayor Gavin Buckley. That and more on Sing Second...brought to you by ProMD Health in Annapolis, Scott Schuetter '00 and the Shrek Realty Crew, and StratasCorp Technologies. Beat Army...Always! https://lnkd.in/e7CgxFbE

What an honor indeed!
On March 23, 2024, three graduates of the Navy, Army and Air Force Service Academies met in person! Pictured, left to right, in The Compass Club at Falcons Landing Retirement Community, Capt. Dale Reed, USN (age 104) second oldest living graduate, Col. Herb Stern, USA (age 105) and Major Paul Lasen, USAF (age 90) the oldest of their respective academies, shook hands and introduced themselves. Dale Reed and Herb Stern are long time residents of Falcons Landing. Paul Lasen arrived in nearby Washington D.C on an “Honor Flight” tour from Austin, Texas and made the short side trip to Falcons Landing to meet Dale & Herb and visit USAF Academy graduates who are residents at Falcons Landing. Special thanks to our residents who helped make this historical occasion happen! What an honor!
