Douglas Craig Metz, 77 of Sharon, Connecticut formerly of Garden City, New York and Hilton Head Island, South Carolina died November14 at home. Craig was born on October 13, 1942 in Garden City. He attended the United States Naval Academy and worked for Grumman Aircraft, Inc. at the Johnson Space Center, Florida. He retired as Vice President of Huntington and Kildare, a real estate holding company on Long Island. Survivors include his wife Suzanne Clifford Metz and three children, Timothy James, Mark Stephen and his wife Lisa, Suzanne Michelle and her husband Gary Massimo. Grandchildren include Michael, Tabitha, Alishia, Daniel, Ashley, Stephanie, Megan Metz and Tiffany and Amber Massimo, two great grandchildren, Dakota and Annabelle Metz. His brother James Thornton Metz his wife Kathleen and six nieces and nephews survive. His brother, Richard Ken Metz predeceased him. A Funeral mass will be held on Saturday, November 23 at Immaculate Conception Church, Amenia, New York with the Reverend R. Kent Wilson officiating at 10:00 AM. Arrangements are under the care of the Kenny Funeral Home.
