Obituary (FL): Alexander Wolseley Urquhart Jr. '46

Alexander Wolseley Urquhart, Jr., 94, passed away January 31, 2019. He was born May 9, 1924 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the late Alexander Wolseley Urquhart, Sr. and Mae (Purdy) Urquhart. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Margaret Crawford Peters Urquhart; his brother Alexander Paul Urquhart and a sister. He served our country as an Officer in the United States Navy during WWII. He earned two Bachelors degrees: one from MIT and the other from the Naval Academy. He spent most of his career as owner of a packaging manufacturing company. Alexander has been a snowbird since 2000 wintering in Bradenton and spending his summers at his home in Winchendon, Massachusetts. He was a member of the Terra Country Club where he enjoyed golfing. He also was an avid boater and pilot. Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Alexander W. Urquhart III and his wife Toby Lee Cahill of Templeton, Massachusetts; David L. Urquhart and his wife Marie Catherine Nelson Urquhart of Winchendon, Massachusetts; and Peter W. Urquhart and is wife Emily S. Urquhart of Portsmouth, New Hampshire; daughter, Ellen Purdy Urquhart and her husband Jerry Hogan of Boston, Massachusetts; grandchildren, Benjamin, Andrew, Lindsay, Sophia, Alexandra and Madilyn; great-grandchildren, Gregory, Laurel and Ryder.
