Dale Virgil Burdy, age 94, died on Thursday, November 22, 2018 at McLaren-Flint Hospital. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. on Monday, November 26, 2018 at Rossell Funeral Home. Visitation 10 a.m. Monday until the time of service. Burial to follow at Flushing Cemetery. Dale was born on July 4, 1924 in Ionia, Michigan to Nicholai and Lois (Girnsey) Burdy. He was an Ionia High School graduate and attended the Annapolis Naval Academy. He was a World War II Veteran and continued his education at Central Michigan University. Dale loved to fish, sing opera and travel. Dale is survived by his children, Brian (Stacy) Burdy and Brenda Burdy; and grandchildren Samantha and Jack. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Lucille.
