Ann Nesbitt Miller, formerly of Virginia Beach, Va., and most recently residing at the Hermitage in Richmond, Va., died September 24, 2018. Born August 17, 1924, in Cordele, Ga., she was the daughter of Thomas and Claire Fletcher Nesbitt. Ann graduated from Cordele High School and Wesleyan College in Macon, Ga. She was predeceased by her husband of 70 years, CDR James Miller. Ann was a longtime member of Francis Asbury Methodist Church in Virginia Beach and very active with the Retired Officers Wives Society in that region. She is survived by her son, James N. Miller; and daughter-in-law, June M. Miller; daughter, Kathryn A. Ritchie (Edward W. Morrow); grandchildren, James T. Miller; Jeffrey A. Miller (Danielle); Jacob P. Ritchie; Jessica R. Sutton (Jeremy); and five great-grandchildren. Along with her parents, she was also predeceased by a sister, Ruth N. Proctor; and brothers, Thomas Nesbitt, Fletcher Nesbitt, Jack Nesbitt and Duncan Nesbitt. A service and interment will be held at a later date at the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md.
