Thereafter, she was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, homemaker, English tutor and schoolteacher all over the United States for 26 years. Upon relocating to South Louisiana to be near their elderly mothers, Ethelyn and Fred served as long time elders at New Covenant Presbyterian Church; Ethelyn served for many years as the clerk of the session. She loved life and loved people, and she personified The Golden Rule. She made the life of others better and was favorably influenced by all with whom she came into contact.
