Ken Aiken (August 01, 1954 January 06, 2018)
Major Robert Kenneth “Ken” Aiken, USMC (Retired), was born on August 1, 1954 in Bainbridge, Georgia and passed away peacefully on January 6, 2018 in Plano, Texas. Ken was a devoted husband and loving father to his wife Karen and son Alex. He was a graduate of The United States Naval Academy, Class of 1978 and was commissioned into the Marine Corps. He served in numerous capacities in Joint Services and Special Operations. Ken enjoyed Marvel and DC movies with his wife and son, was an avid reader and historian. Ken was preceded in death by his parents James and Peggy Aiken and is survived by his wife Karen Aiken, son Alex Aiken, brothers Don Aiken, George Aiken and his wife Anna and Joe Aiken and his wife Karen. Also surviving are many loving nieces, nephews and a host of friends. The Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10:30 am on Friday, January 19, 2018 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2700 W. Spring Creek Pkwy., Plano, Texas 75023 with Father Bruce Bradley, Celebrant. Ken will be laid to rest in Willamette National Cemetery, just south of Portland, Oregon. The family requests memorials be made to Wounded Warrior Project.
