Events to honor fallen USNA Alumni and their Families
Please join us for a very special event on the weekend of the Florida Atlantic home football game.
On Friday afternoon, 2 November, join us at an Open House from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. in historic Ogle Hall. For more information, visit www.usna.com or rsvp to events@usna.com.
Later that evening, the Alumni Association will welcome back to Annapolis the families of our fallen shipmates whose names are listed in Memorial Hall. In partnership with the Run To Honor organization (a 501(c)(3) with the mission of honoring fallen USNA graduates) the Alumni Association is inviting family members to a Memorial Dinner at 6 p.m. at the downtown Annapolis Marriott.
In attendance will be dozens of family members of fallen shipmates from a wide range of USNA classes. Please join us and help provide a meaningful and visible show of support for these families who have sacrificed so much.
Tickets can be purchased for $60 online.
The keynote speaker will be RADM Robert Shumaker, Class of ’56, a 2011 Distinguished Graduate. As a Vietnam POW for eight years, nobody better understands the sacrifices our graduates and their families are sometimes called to make. ADM Robert Natter, ’67, Chairman of the Alumni Association, will also make remarks.
If you are in contact with the family member of a shipmate whose name is listed in Memorial Hall and would like to ensure they receive an invitation to this event, please email Noreen Frenaye at the Alumni Association at Noreen.frenaye@usna.com.
