Malvin B. Roesch, age 80, passed away on 30 July 2008. His athletic skills were very good; he was an all-state basketball player in high school. He enlisted in the US Navy, and after attending the US Navy Preparatory School, Bainbridge , MD received his appointment to the US Naval Academy, entering with the Class of 1952. He graduated from the Academy in the 23rd Company on 6 June 1952, and entered the Navy. He resigned his commission as a LT, USN, and entered the business world. He attended the Graduate School of Business, Columbia University , and graduated with an MBA in 1958. His participation in business reads like a who’s who: investment research analyst, Chemical Bank; manager, Growth Fund Portfolio, Capital Research; and, president, Quantitative Research Analysis Service. He was a charitable, caring man, one who would help in times of trouble. He is survived by his wife, Greta, and brother, Ben. His funeral service was held at 10:00 AM on 31 July 2008; he was interred in the King Solomon Cemetery , Clifton , NJ , after the service.
