I have noted some differences in viewing our Web site pages with different browsers, and I thought some of you may find this helpful.
By the way, today I modified pages that use the USNA seal as a background so that the background doesn't move when scrolling. This can be disconcerting at first but it is a neat effect. The main copy and pictures seem to float when moved. Only Netscape 4.7x doesn't recognize this of the tested browsers. Also, the left frame of the MAIN MENU with all the buttons now has the USNA Seal to replace the blue solid background. This melds the left and right frames except in Netscape 4.7x where there is a border separating the frames. I have not tested Netscape 6 with these pages as the two times I installed it, Netscape crashed my computer requiring re-installation of the system files - not nice.
I recently started using the NeoPlanet browser and e-mail just for something different. The NeoPlanet browser has one quirk that I noticed. It can't deal with the back button when viewing frames. If you click the back button to get the right frame to go back to where you were, nothing happens. I suggest you right click your mouse on the right frame and use the back option in the pop up window. Works every time.
