RADm Julius Caesar '77 (Ret.)

RADM Julius S. Caesar USN (Ret.), is a Surface Warfare Officer who graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1977. He earned a Master of Business Administration from The College of William & Mary. He is a Massachusetts Institute of Technology Seminar XXI Fellow in Foreign Politics, International Relations, and the National Interest. 

During his period of initial active service, Admiral Caesar’s sea duty assignments were on USS DALE (CG 19) and USS JOHN F. KENNEDY (CV 67) where he served in the Engineering, Weapons, and Operations departments. Caesar transitioned to the Reserve Component in 1983. He held four commands including an assignment in the Office of the Naval Inspector General. 

Caesar’s first Flag assignment was as Reserve Deputy, Commander of Navy Installations Command, Washington Navy Yard. He served as Vice Director, Joint Concept Development and Experimentation, J9, U.S. Joint Forces Command, and his final assignment was Deputy Director, J7, Joint and Coalition Warfighting, Joint Staff, Suffolk, VA. 

Caesar is Trustee Emeritus, Naval War College Foundation and Trustee, USNA Alumni Association and Foundation's Athletic & Scholarship Programs providing preparatory school scholarships for students aspiring to attend Annapolis and support to the Academy's physical mission. He is a member of the Alumni Association Admissions Committee supporting STEM outreach programs and recruiting initiatives for middle and high school students. Caesar is the Executive Director, USNA Minority Association (NAMA) with the mission of developing our nation’s future leaders and fundraising for STEM/Summer Seminar scholarships, cyber, Midshipmen, and alumni activities.

Caesar is on the advisory board of Academy Securities and a former advisory board member of AtHoc, a division of Blackberry. He was a member of the Secretary of Defense Reserve Forces Policy Board addressing issues for Reserve and National Guard personnel. Caesar was awarded the Blacks in Government Meritorious Service Award. He is a technology executive with a Fortune 500 global leader in cloud data services.
