Care Proxy or Directive They are adults and may have significant assets and financial or
health issues. Without pre-planning,
if something untoward should happen, the alternative would be costly court
proceedings leaving the Court, not the family, in control. With HIPPA regulations, you might not be
able to get the information you need from the doctor/hospital without this
pre-planning. These documents are fairly simple to prepare and easy to
execute. An attorney should be able to
do the whole set of documents for a reasonable fee. Your Mid may even be able to get help at
the legal office in Bancroft. Recommendations from a Mid’s Father who
understands Estate Law. |
