Sponsor Program

All Plebes will be given an opportunity to request a sponsor family who will pick them up on Saturdays during the year and take them away from the Academy for a while. Encourage your Plebe to follow up on this option.  There are a number of very wonderful families in the immediate area of the Yard who open their homes (and their hearts) to Midshipmen. This is a much-needed break from the rigors of training. Oftentimes Mids can leave CDs, and other items not permitted, such as civilian clothes, in their Academy rooms at their sponsor family's home.
