Activities

· June—The club starts out its year with an annual picnic to welcome new Plebes and their parents to the club.  This is an opportunity to meet other Plebes and their parents, ask questions, and become familiar with the club.

· August—Before the academic year starts, the club has a back-to-school meeting.  This is a social meeting to share summer experiences and celebrate the end of Plebe summer.

· Fall—Football games at USNA are great times and the annual tailgate that the club has is an opportunity to add to the fun.  The club tailgate is usually held at the Homecoming game.  Information is provided in the newsletter.  Your mid and his/her friends are welcome.  This is a particularly good time to meet the upper-class Mids of club members and to meet the friends your Mid has made.

· December—Although an unofficial “meeting,” the club offers a block of seats at the Army/Navy game and rooms at a nearby hotel.  After the game, we informally gather to celebrate the Navy victory!

· February/March—Sometimes during the winter months, the club holds a meeting in Annapolis.  In the past we have had a luncheon meeting with a speaker or a tour.

· April—At the spring meeting we elect officers for the next year and share ideas and plans as well.

· May—On the Sunday of Commissioning Week the club holds a brunch at the Officers’ Club to honor the Mids from the club who are graduating.  The Three Cheers Luncheon is a tradition that club members really enjoy.  All members and their Mids are invited, even if they are not Firsties.  This event culminates the club’s activities for the year in a most fitting way.
