In the summer of 1999, a few USNA 1955 LISTSERV members commented how nice it would be to save some of the more interesting exchanges for publishing in a book some day. "Best eMemories of 99" was created by John Roberts in January 1999 to show what could be done with selected LISTSERV exchanges, and published to this class Web site. The first story of "Best eMemories of 2000" was posted shortly thereafter, and new stories added since to both '99 and '00 eMemories. This eMemories section was discontinued after 2002, but one more eMemory was added in November 2005. Use the link at bottom to view the e-mail exchange on the 1953 Eisenhower Inauguration. A formal set of guidelines to control what is published was developed, and these initial guidelines have been added to the "General Guidelines for Publishing to the USNA '55 Web Site" . eMemories are published here for the use and enjoyment of members of the Class of 1955, their families and associates. They are not to be republished or distributed in any manner. Off-line viewing TIP: Most browsers will let you "save as" the page or frame that is currently displayed, using the File/Save As selection. Once saved, you can read and/or print the eMemory off-line. Once read, these can be deleted. Norm Palladino, |
