"The 2007 Poinsettia Bowl game brought many classmates to San Diego.  Ned and Lynne FLOYD hosted a pre game party in Coronado on Wednesday, 19 December, the night before the game.  Local classmates brought potluck pupus to the party. Others in attendance included Tom BOUCHER, Vern CARLSON, Jack GARROW, Ken HOLDEN, Dick JONES, Pat Kenney  (widow of Charles), Ray MEDEIROS with Barbara Obinger, and Hugh and Peggy WEBSTER  Ned & Lynne Floyd publicly thank Jack Garrow and Ken Holden who came early to help with the setup and stayed late to assist with the cleanup.  The '55 Tailgate, which was hosted by Tom  KIEFABER and his son John, USNA'97, featured loads of food and drink for all ages (no cover charge).  Through John Kiefaber, '55 was able to join '97 for a joint tailgate.   It was attended by Kenny Holden, Jack Garrow, Hugh Webster, and Bob IRONS, plus family members. Intense spirit was generated. An informal post game breakfast was held at the Coronado Municipal Golf Course on Friday, December 2.  At the breakfast were Tom Boucher, Ned and Lynne Floyd, John Haynes with his son Steve, and Ray Medeiros with Barbara Obinger and Ray's son Jim.  Others known to be at the game included Bill and Valarie ANDERS, Alex ARONIS's son Steve and son-in-law and daughter Larry and Dawn Sorensen,  Ace DAVIS,  George (16) and Gracie MARTIN, Burt and Rene MUNGER, John and Elsie SNYDER, and John and Joan WEAVER.  While Navy lost to a well favored Utah, the Big Blue Team was in the game all the way and almost pulled it out in the final moment.  What an exciting game."
