Chinese New Year
"The Class celebrated the Year of the Dog in Coronado with cocktails and dinner at the Jamaica Village Clubhouse on the Chinese New Year, Sunday, 29 January. People wore lots of red in accordance with the Chinese custom. Attendees included Bill BALL, Tom & Teri BOUCHER, Vern CARLSON, Roger & Jo COFFEY, Ned & Lynne FLOYD, Charles & Barb HAGEE, Don & Evelyn KNEPPER, Ray MEDEIROS with Barbara OBINGER, John & Penny NYQUIST, Carol Schrader, and Tom & Pat SHINE with their guest Sue Walter (former Navy nurse). Jo Coffey has made a nice recovery from back surgery last fall. Dang, the gals looked better than the guys as the accompanying photos so attest. The hosts, Ned & Lynne Floyd, gratefully thank Don Knepper and Ray Medeiros for their spontaneous, voluntary help especially during setup and breakdown. The hosts also belatedly thank Roger Coffey for all the heavy lifting he has done at past Coronado functions. Gung Hay Fat Choy!
