Navy vs. Army Football 2004

(Page 1 of  2 - pictures & report from Ned Floyd, Al MacDiarmid and Jean Young)

USNA '55 classmates and others from the San Diego area gathered at the home of  Dick and Lavon Jones near El Cajon to cheer our team on December 4.   Along with relatives and one spy from West Point, we had a good showing.   Al & Jean towed their fifth wheel trailer over the hill from Benson, AZ to  be there.  The dog "Hercules" didn't think much of us, but then at 13  years old (older than any of us in doggie years) he probably didn't care.   Dick had laid out lots of flags, so his place was easy to spot.  A good time was had by all.  Lots  of food, beer, soft drinks and coffee.   Al MacDiarmid

Dick and Lavon JONES continued their Army game tradition by inviting the '55ers in the greater San Diego area and beyond to their home for the Army Navy game.  Great game with great hospitality.  Other classmates present included Bill ANDERS, Tom BOUCHER, Roger & Jo COFFEY, Ned FLOYD, Al MacDIARMID with Jean Young, Jack & Clare MORRA, Bob PRICE, and Hugh WEBSTER.  Others there included Russ BUCKLEY, USNA '64 and Wayne & Nancy Hoffmann. One of Russ's children is married to one of  Dick & Lavon's.   Wayne was our Army representative being BGEN Wayne Hoffmann, ChC, AUS(Ret).   Ned Floyd
