   Lunch Cruise on the Bay Wednesday, 1100 — 1230

The Harbor Queen will depart the Annapolis City Dock (across from Waterfront Marriott) at 1100. Boarding will commence at 1045. Duration of the voyage is 1.5 hours. A packaged lunch will consist of Maryland crab cake, fried chicken, coleslaw and cookies, with a full bar available for drink purchases. The vessel offers an open area for seating and an upper deck to take in the views of the Academy and other sights along the Severn River.

   Midshipman Development Briefing Wednesday, 1500 — 1600

In Mahan Hall. Presented by VADM Michael D. Haskins, USN (Ret), Director of Leadership, Law and Ethics at the Naval Academy.

   Cocktail/Buffet Party at the Glenn Warner Soccer Center Wednesday, 1900 — 2200

A premier event in a relaxed setting. Chet Gladchuk, Athletic Director will be there, and Football Coach Paul Johnson has been invited as well. Open bar; dress casual.

   USNA Museum Tour Thursday, 1000 — 1100

Arrangements have been made for 2 separate tours of the museum (see Saturday̓s schedule) to last approximately 1 hour each. Sign up for which day in the Welcome Room. Meet at the museum.

   Class Picnic and YP Cruises Thursday, 1200 — 1430

Picnic lunch will be held at the Robert Crown Center, and will include hot dogs, hamburgers, salad, wine, beer, soft drinks and snacks. Picnic will go regardless of weather. There will be twoYPs at the Sailing Center. One will be alongside for touring, while the other is cruising. Cruises will last about half an hour. Cruises will be cancelled in the event of gale force winds. This will be the most difficult parking situation of the reunion ... both faculty and midshipmen cars will be parked in the yard. Best to walk from the Marriott or use the buses.

   Class Golf Tournament Thursday 1330 —

At the Naval Academy Golf Course; shotgun start. Teams of four will challenge other classmates with team handicaps established prior to play. Other than those prearranged, Tournament Director will assemble teams by company and the battalion. Ladies are invited to play. Tee times and pairings will be posted in the Welcome Suite. There is plenty of parking available at the golf course.

   Walking Tour of USNA Thursday, 1400— 1500

This event starts at the USNA Visitors Center. The tour will include Athletic Hall of Fame (Lejeune Hall), Memorial Hall, JPJ Crypt and ends at Rickover Hall to dovetail with the Academic Briefing that follows. Sign-up is in the Welcome Room. Charge to be paid at the Visitors Center.

   Academic Programs Briefing Thursday, 1500 - 1600

Presented by Dr. William C. Miller (‘62), Academic Dean and Provost, in Rm. 102, Rickover Hall.

   Welcome Aboard Party Thursday 1830-2230

A grand affair with the finest catering and music accompaniment held in the Waterfront Marriott Ballroom. Cash bar; dress — evening casual. Most parking near the hotel is posted for residents only, so be sure to check all signs. Metered parking is usually available in the city dock area. There is a public parking lot across from the hotel and adjacent to yacht club that charge reasonable rates for all day and overnight.

   Gift Presentation Ceremony Friday, 0900 - 0930

Presentation of the Class of 1955 Gift marking the 50th Anniversay of our graduation — the restored and improved Crypt of John Paul Jones — held in the Chapel. VADM Rodney P. Rempt, USN (Ret), Superintendent, U.S. Naval Academy, and George Watt, President, USNA Alumni Association, attending.

   Memorial Service Friday, 1000 - 1100

A Lay Service in Memory of Deceased Members of the Class of 1955 held in the Chapel. Followed by Class photograph on the Chapel Steps.

   Friday Lunch Friday, 1100 — 1300

For lunch, we have allowed time in the schedule for those who want to eat in town. For those who wish to remain in the yard, we will have a sandwich and salad buffet between 1100 and 1300 in the Coppedge Room in Alumni Hall. Because of space limitations, we are planning on eating in two shifts of 150 persons each, from 1100 until noon and from noon to 1300. The price will be $13 per person, or two for $25. Tickets will be sold in advance in the Welcome Room as well as at the door. Please make payment by check made out to USNA55 Reunion. There are other lunch possibilities in the yard — “The Quarterdeck” in Dahlgren Hall and a snack bar in the Visitors Center. The mess hail (now King Hall) and the Officers̓ Club are not available because of First Class parents weekend.

   Class Meeting Friday, 1300 - 1500

The Class Meeting will be held in Mahan Hall. Our meeting agenda will include: class
governance, class election results, funds and fundraising status, and future events.
VADM Rempt and George Watt will give brief presentations. Wives are invited.
Parking available at Alumni Hall lot or at Hubbard Hall (Boat House).

   Midshipman Parade Friday, 1600 —

At Worden Field. We have reserved seating and we should be seated by 1555.

   Banquet and Dinner Dance Friday, 1830 —2400

Held on the main floor of Alumni Hall. Fine cuisine and dance music provided by the Electric Brigade. Cocktails: 1830 — 1930, followed by transition to dinner. Dress:  coat and tie, black tie optional. An individual̓s choice of table can be indicated in advance on the banquet seating chart in the Welcome Room. All tables are open (none designated by company or battalion). Extra name tags will be provided in the Welcome Packet to enable attendees to reserve places without tipping up chairs or unfolding napkins. Parking will be available in the big lot in front of Alumni Hall. There are spaces in back of the Alunmi Hall as well.

   Company/Battalion Parties Saturday (whenever arranged for)

Company, battalion or group parties are individually arranged for the time period before the tailgate party. Every effort will be made to post an all-inclusive list of planned parties, with details, in the Welcome Room.

   USNA Museum Tour Saturday, 1000 — 1100

   Arch Presentation Ceremony/Stadium Tour Saturday, 1500 --- 1600

A brief presentation will be held at the ‘55 Battle Arch sponsored by the Class of 1955, followed by a tour of the stadium by a USNAAA representative, highlighting the impressive changes (modernization and expansion) made to the stadium.

   Tailgate at Football Stadium Saturday, 1530-2200

Catered tailgate held in ‘53 Pavilion. Dinner buffet with beer and wine. A ticket to the game is required to attend the tailgate because the ‘53 Pavilion is inside the stadium. Buses will run to and from the hotels before and after the game. Parking is also available in the stadium parking lot for season pass holders. There will be no parking sales on game day for the stadium parking lot, however, a one-event parking pass can be purchased in advance for $10 under certain circumstances. The game starts at 1800.

   Aloha Brunch Sunday, 0900 - 1300

Sunday brunch will be a grand affair. We have a large room in the Marriott with a view of the Academy and Annapolis harbor and a sumptuous menu. Pay for meal at the door. A memorable place to say goodbye ... until we meet again.
