Spring Social, Saturday June 6, 2009

Location: Home of Tim and Julie Kana, 1386 Kathwood Drive (Ph 803-787-3382), Lake Catherine, Columbia
Directions:
- From Downtown Columbia: Take Forest Drive to Beltline (Old Richland Mall); Turn Right. Go ~ 1 mile to Kilbourne Rd (~4th stop light); Turn left; Go ~3 blocks (thru traffic light at Kilbourne & Brennan) to Sanford Rd; Turn left onto Sanford; Go 1 block to Kathwood; Turn right onto Kathwood and go ~1/4 mile. House is on the right -Spanish style set back from the road - OK to park on grass along the side of our driveway.
- From the Interstate: We're close to I-77 @ Exit 10 (Jackson Blvd). At the bottom of the exit ramp from either direction, turn away from the Fort Jax Gate and head south on Jackson Blvd for ~1/4 mile. At the first Stop light (Kilbourne Rd) Turn right. Go ~1/2 mile to Sanford Rd (on right). Turn Right and go 1 Block to Kathwood Dr. Turn Right and go ~1/4 mile to our home at 1386 Kathwood on the right- it's a Spanish style set back from the road - OK to park on grass along the side of our driveway.
Details: Please bring your family or a friend for a cookout and camaraderie with your Navy colleagues. We'll have food and drinks aplenty, but if you want to bring a dessert or bottle of wine, we'll gladly accept. Just PLEASE PLEASE do not make a big effort to bring anything but yourselves. We'll aim to eat around 7:17 pm, but it will be informal and latecomers are welcome. We have ordered a moonrise over the lake at 8 pm sharp. We only do this a few times each year for special friends, so if you haven't seen a near-full moon over Lake Katharine, this will be your best chance for awhile. Come celebrate our USNAA-Midlands year together. No presentations this time, just a chance to catch up and enjoy each other.
