Board of Directors Meeting of September 13, 2006 Minutes

Baggataway Tavern, Conshohocken PA

1. Mike Delorey was absent: the Treasurer’s Report was not given.
2. Tim Farrell gave the membership report. He reminded the attendees of the need to push our enrollment for participation in national meetings.
3. Corky Gardner reviewed some of the late-breaking policy changes at USNA regarding alcohol abuse by Midshipmen, and presented attrition statistics both for Midshipmen and USNA grads.
4. Tim Farrell reported on Camden Riversharks baseball game & picnic on Thurs, 06/15/06 @ 7pm. Over fifty people attended, and he recommended that it be an annual event.
5. Phil Katauskas & Rob Bender reported on Founders Day Dinner on Thurs, 10/12/06. Our guest speaker will be LtCol Oliver North, USMC (Ret), USNA 68. Tim Farrell encouraged the use of this event to bolster our membership.
6. There will be a tailgate for the Navy – Connecticut football game on September 30, 2006. Particulars can be found at http://www.usna.com.
7. Our next BoD meeting will be Wednesday, 11/15/06 at 6:30pm at Baggataway Tavern. In the event that George Watt attends that meeting, we may change the venue to the Marriott in Conshohocken.
