Board of Directors Meeting of May 17, 2006 Minutes

- Mike DeLorey gave the Treasurer's
report: we're in good shape w/over $35k in assets.
- Tim Farrell and Mike gave the
membership report. Over 170 paid members; we will continue to run e-mail
reminders.
- Next BGO sponsored Bus Trip to Annapolis for candidates is in July. Tim will pass the dates
& we will put out e-mail.
- Rob Bender reported on Parents Night. BoD agreed that was our best Parents Night in terms of
keeping the program moving
as quickly as possible & attendance: more than 300.
- Tim Farrell reported on Camden Riversharks baseball game & picnic on Thurs,
06/15/06 @ 7pm. 6 have signed up; need at least 20 to have event. We
will put out more e-mail reminders.
- Phil Katauskas & Rob Bender
reported on Founders Day Dinner on Thurs, 10/12/06. Our guest speaker will
be LtCol Oliver North, USMC (Ret), USNA 68. Phil
& Rob are exploring combining the event w/recognition for wounded
veterans from the Global War on Terrorism (GWOT). In anticipation of a large
audience, they will explore another venue; possibly Drexelbrook.
The committee will continue with planning & a mailing to get an
indication of interest in the event. This will help determine attendance.
- Rob Bender reported on the next Navy
League event at Drexelbrook on Wed, 6/21. Guest
speaker will be Gen Anthony Zinni, USMC (Ret).
- Our next BoD mtg will be Tue, 09/12/06 at 6:30pm at Baggataway Tavern. The major agenda item will be final
details for the Founders Day Dinner.
