4. The minutes
from the Board of Directors Meeting of 31 January 2007 were read and
approved. Kerr Smith reported no change
with regard to the opportunity the Philadelphia Chapter has to compete against
our USMA counterparts on COMCAST (to be aired prior to the Army-N*AVY Football
Game). To date, Army has refused to step
up to the challenge, and Kerr is exploring options with COMCAST.
5. Corky
6. Tim Farrell
reported on the need to get a membership drive in high gear. He intends to download a listing of potential
members and distribute the names among the Board, to facilitate a personal
contact. Skip Dittmann suggested that,
where possible, classmates be used to contact classmates.
7. Various
members reported on upcoming or past events:
CAPT Byerly service; Congressman
Sestak Nomination Ceremony; USNA Info
Day; Army/N*AVY Golf; Parents’ Night; and the Camden Riversharks game. Of special significance is the upcoming
Distinguished Academy Graduate Award Ceremony for Ralph Hooper in

has discussed with GEN Hagee USMC (Ret), the possibility of being the Guest of
Honor at Founders’ Day 2007. GEN Hagee
has not yet accepted.
9. Skip Dittmann
and Cal Quinn reported on the plans in work for the Navy-Temple Football
game. The date of that event is still
moving, exacerbating the difficulties in planning a tailgate. Skip also reported on the inauguration of the
National Lacrosse Hall of Fame at Navy-Marine Corps Stadium on 14 April 2007.
