4. Phil Cahill
reported that the submission for the April edition of Shipmate is due on 15
February; and will include a report on
2007 Events, the upcoming election of officers, the Riversharks
game, a push for membership and license tags, and a mention of Ralph Hooper’s
award (DGA).
5. Brian Degnan
reported that he and Mike Delorey have completed the turnover of the
Treasurer’s duties. We have $23,420 in
our Checking Account, and $13,607 in the Byerly
Endowment Fund.
6. Kerr Smith
reported on the opportunity the Philadelphia Chapter has to compete against our
USMA counterparts on COMCAST (to be aired prior to the Army-N*AVY Football
Game). To date, Army has refused to step
up to the challenge, and Kerr is exploring options with COMCAST.
7. Phil Katauskas
has discussed with GEN Hagee USMC (Ret), the
possibility of being the Guest of Honor at Founders’ Day 2007. More to follow as the event approaches.
8. The Army/N*AVY
Golf Outing and the Sunshine Visit with CAPT Byerly
are still to be scheduled, with Kerr Smith and Keith Smith on the hook.
9. Our next
meeting will be on 27 March 2007 (with optional date of 21 March 2007) at
