Tampa Bay Chapter - Supports Future Candidates!

On MAR 29th, the Tampa USNA Chapter, and Naval Academy Parent's Club and Blue & Gold Officers met at MacDill AFB Pavillion.

All that made it to the picnic - thanks! GREAT PICTURES at the bottom!

What a perfect day - - especially as it rained all day on Sunday. How is that for an omen!?

Appreciate the great turnout! Security seemed pretty smooth, and hopefully not too many folks got lost by the directions, and eventually got there. I am not sure, but it looks like a few of you were not able to make it, and I am sorry you were not able to - maybe we'll do this again next year!

Thanks to our guest speaker, Warren Hahn, President of Hahn Engineering, Tampa Blue & Gold Officer Team Leader for giving an overview on the Academy Process, especially as there were many juniors and sophomores (and a few younger) there; as well as their parents.

Thanks to all the Current USNA Midshipman Parents, the Blue & Gold Officers and Alumni that showed up to be able to share their experiences with all of the potential future candidates. As you can all see - there is a great variety on everyone's experiences about USNA. Regardless - everyone shares a common bond, that allows them to come together as one team.

I have had a number of positive comments already from parents and potential future midshipman, expressing that they thought it was very informative and energizing. That is great, and that was our overall goal - to get the word out that there is a great place to consider and attend; with a goal of becoming a Naval or Marine Officer.

Thanks again to all that came -

Good luck in your future endeavors, whatever they may be, and I will see some of you out there obviously depending on what school you attend! Thanks again to all that came and had a great time!
